Satin Blue was generally used on Artware and Lamps. Introduced in the 1936 catalogue along with several other satin glazes. This glaze is a wonderful soft blue that varies very little over the its production. Some times slightly lighter or darker, this glaze seems to have been a very consistent firing glaze as few examples of this glaze show up with firing issues. On occasion this glaze will curdle or have a spot where it didn't cover the body. Since this is a very common glaze any glaze issues severely impact the pieces desirability. This glaze is found on a wide range of pieces from small inexpensive items to large rare vases.
